“Our Freedom in Christ, Our Hope for Tomorrow” is the theme for the 18th Annual Community Hymn Festival to be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 18. This year's Hymn Festival will be a special Christian celebration for America's 250th Anniversary.
Hymn Festivals are a dynamic way of uniting different faith communities and celebrating the musical heritage of diverse Christian churches. The first local Community Hymn Festival was held in 2008. Since that time, it has become a musical and spiritual highlight for the entire community!
There is no cost for this event, a freewill offering will be taken to benefit Peach's Pantry, which has been helping to feed children in Cochise County for over 10 years.

"Wondering "witch" way to celebrate Halloween this year? Join the Education Foundation of Sierra Vista at their annual Spooktacular Bash on October 24, at Stan Greer's Old Door Shop.
Festivities go from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (doors open at 5:45 p.m.).
Tickets are $60 and include dinner by Pizzeria Mimosa, two drink tickets, desserts by Buena Culinary Chefs, music, dancing, silent auctions, costume contest and much more! Proceeds help support SVUSD teachers and students. Tickets go on sale August 1st online at www.Eventbrite.com.

The 10th Annual Where They Buck Bull Riding returns to Sierra Vista, Arizona, October 23–24, 2026. Back in the cool fall weather and celebrating a decade of action, this year's event will be our biggest yet, featuring top bull riders, great entertainment, and an unforgettable Western experience for the whole family
Friday, October 23rd is the return of the Junior Bull Riding Championship Showdown, one of the most popular and exciting Friday night events in Where They Buck history. Come watch the future stars of professional bull riding go head-to-head as they battle for championship honors, a coveted buckle, and a share of the prize money.
The gates open at 5:00 p.m., with competition beginning at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy an evening filled with vendors, food, beer gardens, event merchandise, music, and family-friendly entertainment before witnessing the next generation of bull riding talent take center stage.
Saturday, October 24th, the excitement reaches a whole new level as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Where They Buck Invitational Bull Riding. More than 30 elite bull riders from across the United States and around the world will compete against some of the rankest bulls in the industry. In addition, ten premier bull teams from across the country will battle for team honors in one of the most unique and exciting formats in the sport. With over $20,000 in cash and prizes on the line, competitors will leave it all in the arena as they chase championship glory. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, we're pulling out all the stops to create the biggest and most unforgettable Where They Buck event ever held.
Gates open at 3:00 p.m. with Kids Mutton Bustin' kicking off at 5:00 p.m., followed by live music and pre-show festivities. Then, at 7:00 p.m., the arena explodes with what promises to be the most action-packed night of Bull Riding Sierra Vista has ever seen. Immediately following the bull riding, stick around for a live concert and anniversary celebration.
